A recent college graduate, Daniel “Dan” Selby enrolled at New York University (NYU) after graduating from Long Island’s Friends Academy. Studying economics, Daniel Selby excelled academically at NYU, making the dean’s list in each semester and garnering distinction as one of only 12 students selected for the NYU Global Leadership Program.
Daniel Selby stayed active on campus as a member of the school’s Economics Society. He also founded the Pizza Club at NYU. Leading this club as president, he grew it into a university-sanctioned organization with a membership of more than 100 students. As a testament to his achievements at NYU, he was chosen by his professors as a flag bearer at his commencement ceremony.
Today, Dan Selby serves as an underwriter at a private credit firm in New York City. Working in this position since March of 2025, he analyzes the applications of small and medium-sized businesses to determine whether the firm should extend financing.
